For the demolition of an existing structure and the construction of a shopping center, Macerich selected Aurora Contractors as the General Contractor.

The Green Acres Commons project required a broad range of capabilities including:

• Demolition of the existing Sunrise Multiplex Cinemas
• 20 acres of site work
• New construction totaling 335,000 SF

• Two-level open shopping center.

• In addition to these requirements, the project was further complicated by the water table level in this area and a condensed construction schedule. The project broke ground in June of 2015 and opened on-time in October of 2016.
